About I.S.L.E.
Welcome to my I.S.L.E. weebly! I.S.L.E. as described to me is Independent, Self-Selected, Literature, Exploration. In simpler terms it is a broad English assignment where a student must choose a book, read it, and write about once a week, every week, for the semester. The key terms of the I.S.L.E. acronym, the things that make it different from other English assignments, are the words Independent, Self-Selected, and Exploration (Literature is found in the majority of English classrooms). These terms essentially explain that while this assignment is still a task the student must complete it can also be an interesting exploration of your own thoughts and perhaps dreams. It is one of the opportunities within education that is exactly what you make of it.
